A web app for running community savings circles.

TheProblem

Savings circles are how millions of people save: a group pays in the same amount each round, and each round one member takes the whole pot. They run on trust — and usually on a spreadsheet and a group chat.

That makes it hard to see who has paid, whose turn is next and what's still owed. Ayuuto replaces the guesswork with one shared, transparent record.

TheProduct

Members create or join a circle, set the contribution amount and frequency, and follow a turn tracker that shows the payout order and progress. Contributions are recorded and approved by the circle's admin, so everyone sees the same numbers.

Around that sit accounts, profile and settings pages, public and invite-only circles, AI-generated reminder messages, and a blog and guides that explain how savings circles work.

    Circles and turn tracking

    Create a circle with its amount, frequency and size, invite people or let them request to join, and see the payout order at a glance.

  2. 02

    Contributions with approval

    Members record each payment; the circle's admin approves it. A full history keeps the record straight across every circle.

  3. 03

    AI-written reminders

    Personalised contribution reminders generated server-side with Google's Genkit and Gemini.

  4. 04

    Accounts and protected pages

    Firebase Authentication with session-based route protection, so app pages are only reachable when signed in.

  5. 05

    Shared pots (beta)

    An admin-only beta for pooled pots with tracked withdrawals and repayments.

  6. 06

    Content for search

    A blog and guides explaining savings circles, plus a sitemap and per-page metadata.

MyRole

I designed and built Ayuuto, from the first commit in May 2025 to a homepage redesign in June 2026: the Next.js front end, the Firebase data model and authentication, and the AI reminder feature.
